About Little Catbird 
Little Catbird creates original productions of interactive multi-disciplined arts shows featuring original music, puppetry, theatre, storytelling, dance and visual art. Designed to enrich, entertain and engage young audiences and the young at heart.

Creator Biographies:
Little Catbird was created by Alison Marae and Wil Forbis. They have co-written and performed three original, multi-disciplined musicals for children and families: The Fairy and the DragonRhythm Red Riding Hood and The Holiday Show. Together they have toured/performed in Paris, London, Hawaii, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and San Diego. They’re both members of BMI, performing rights organization.

    •  Artistic Director/Co-Music Director/Co-Writer Alison Marae is an international performer, singer, dancer/choreographer, songwriter, ukulele-ist, teaching artist. She has choreographed/performed for dance festivals in New York City including DanceNowFestival, WaxWorks, Artists of Tomorrow Festival and Danspace Project. She recorded an album of original music with jazz standards that was nominated for a San Diego Music Award and is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.
      A teaching artist for nearly two decades. she has created/taught her own programs, for outreach arts education in public schools and worked as staff for professional dance and music studios throughout San Diego County. She ran a non profit dance company for 9 years and served as the artistic director/choreographer for it’s professional and pre-professional dance companies and well as master teacher for programs and classes. She teaches music (voice, ukulele and piano) and dance (modern dance, ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre and a creative movement).
    • Co-Music Director/Co-Writer, Wil Forbis is an accomplished guitarist, songwriter, composer, recording artist, author, comic book artist, illustrator, puppeteer, international performer and music teacher. He recorded two critically acclaimed albums of original music that have had radio airplay that are available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. Wil’s music compositions can be heard in many independent films and on the TV show, Weeds.
